Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about CaseMedix, our services, and how we help medical providers get paid on personal injury cases.
Getting Started
What is CaseMedix?+
CaseMedix is a medical lien management company that helps healthcare providers get paid for treating personal injury patients. We use proprietary legal tools, protocols, and trained professionals to enforce direct payments from casualty insurance companies.
How do I sign up?+
Contact us through the form on our website or call (702) 386-0101. Our team will walk you through the onboarding process, including staff training, and get your practice set up on our portal.
Is there an upfront cost?+
No. CaseMedix works on a contingency basis. You pay nothing upfront. We only get paid when you get paid.
What types of medical providers do you work with?+
We work with chiropractors, orthopedic surgeons, pain management clinics, physical therapy practices, imaging centers, urgent care facilities, and any provider treating accident injuries.
Coverage & Scenarios
What if my patient doesn't want to hire an attorney?+
This is one of the core problems CaseMedix solves. Our enforcement practices maximize your ability to get paid on every case -- whether the patient has an attorney or not. You don't need the patient to have legal representation.
What if the settlement goes directly to the patient?+
Our enforcement specialists make the insurance company pay you directly -- even if they have to pay it twice. The earned portion of the settlement should never bypass your practice.
What happens if the attorney drops the case?+
CaseMedix has contingency plans that protect you from nonpayment in every scenario: attorney drops the case, patient fires the attorney, case transfers to another firm, or the law firm never signs the medical lien. You are covered in all of these situations.
How much of my bill gets paid?+
Insurance companies cannot ignore or reduce your bills when CaseMedix is enforcing collection. Typically, providers collect the full face amount of the entire bill (unless there is insufficient insurance coverage). On unrepped cases, providers often get paid more per case than on attorney-repped cases.
Operations & Technology
What does CaseMedix handle for my practice?+
Everything related to your PI liens: lien creation and filing, documentation management, legal paperwork processing, law firm communications, insurance adjuster interactions, fund management, staff training, and case tracking.
Do I get visibility into my cases?+
Yes. Through the CaseMedix online portal, you can transfer medical liens, track case status in real-time, run reports, communicate with our staff, and obtain instant updates on any case.
How does the payment process work?+
Once money is obtained from law firms or insurance companies, it is deposited into a trust account. When the funds clear, they are electronically transferred directly to your practice.
Do you train my staff?+
Yes. As part of the onboarding process, CaseMedix provides training for your team so they know exactly what to do at each step of the intake and lien process.
Legal & Enforcement
Who founded CaseMedix?+
CaseMedix was founded by Attorney Craig K. Perry, Esq., who has 35+ years of legal experience. He started as an insurance defense attorney (so he knows how insurers operate), then became a plaintiff's attorney for accident victims. He built CaseMedix to give medical providers the legal tools they need.
Will you take legal action against insurance companies?+
Yes. When insurance companies refuse to comply with our enforcement demands, we will litigate -- and we win. Our legal foundation and proprietary tools give us the expertise to take insurers to court when necessary.
Which insurance companies do you deal with?+
We enforce payments from all major casualty insurers including State Farm, GEICO, Allstate, Progressive, Farmers, and others.
How long has CaseMedix been in business?+
CaseMedix has been serving medical providers for over 12 years, with a proven track record of successful collections nationwide.
